Chandamama launches iPhone app in 9 regional language, eyes android market, source Moneycontrol

Having success with the launch of its English app (3,000 downloads in the first 3 weeks of its launch), Chandamama, an Indian children’s magazine, has launched its iPhone app in nine regional languages. The app is a blend of the magazine’s content, including Indian mythological stories, Vikram and Vetala stories, contemporary information on science as well as the “It’s around us” section. It also has read along stories with some extra surprises, and challenging and creative activities. The languages the app is available in are: Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malyalam, Bengali, Gujarati and Sanskrit. MONEYCONTROL
